LSA Application - Essay Submission Page

We are very exciting and happy that you are interested in the Life Science Academy.  As part of our application process we would like for you to complete the following essay questions to help us better get to know you and make sure you are ready for our program.
    QUESTION #1:  In the box below please provide a brief introduction including your name, your middle school and high school and why you think you would be a good fit for the Life Science Academy. You can discuss traits, skills, and future plans to give us a picture of who you are.

    QUESTION #2. In the box below answer the following:  LSA is a college program with a more rigorous curriculum and deadlines than what you have experienced in middle school.  How do you plan on keeping track of assignments, due dates, and exam dates and keeping yourself organized in this college level class?

    QUESTION #3. In the box below answer the following: Why do you think class participation is important?  What do you think actually qualifies as class participation? If admitted to LSA, what things will you do to participate in daily class activities, homework and discussions?

    QUESTION #4. In the box below answer the following:  Give an example of how you have successfully worked in a group or overcome a conflict in your personal life or  in a classroom setting. What leadership traits did you utilize to overcome this uncomfortable situation.

    QUESTION #5. In the box below answer the following Scenario: You are enrolled in Principles of Biomedical Science (LSA) and even though you studied hard for the test, you did not do very well on the exam. You are worried your grade in the class is now in trouble. What would your next steps be?
