Tips for Keeping a Good Lab Notebook
Your name goes on the front and inside cover
At the top of every page: the activity number and date
Use only the front of each page
Try to anticipate order, if know a project is incomplete, leave a few pages
Always record all your data in your notebook even if it also goes into Excel or another program as well
Always clearly label all your data collection tables
Conclusion questions go a separate page with the activity number and Conclusion Questions in the header
Keep it neat
Keep it clean
Use clear tape on all four sides to attach items inside
Do not fold things in your note book
